The Grove Riding School has been run by Julie and David Bond since 2010, but there has been a riding school here for over 30 years and before that a dairy farm.
The school was originally set up by Maddie McKenzie Wallace who was also a founder member of High Wycombe Riding Club and a big supporter of Riding for the Disabled. Sadly, Maddie died of cancer very young, but inspired Julie who learnt to ride here under Maddie, as did many of the parents of our customers today!
The Grove Riding School is fully licensed by Wycombe District Council (WDC 034) meaning we have an annual DEFRA led inspection of facilities and horse welfare. Our insured facility offers lessons for all ages from 4 to 74! We have both an outdoor and an indoor school as well as a wide variety of XC schooling fences. Our hacking is completely off road on a private estate and we have horses suitable for all standards.
We offer all kinds of livery from Standard to full to schooling. Our experienced grooms are always here to help whatever your needs.
The Grove Riding School is an approved member of the British Association of Riding Schools. As an 'approved school' we have been inspected and found to be satisfactory by one of the national Approved Schemes. The Association of British Riding Schools conducts such a scheme, setting a high standard for horse care and requires to be satisfied that the instruction given is well presented and correct in content.
